Etudes are learning exercises with a purpose and a form. They are transferable and repeatable, like a party game. They can also be performed by other orchestras. The studies are developed and performed in the practice of the orchestra and must therefore be relevant.
In addition to the études themselves, the creative process is also a relevant outcome for the orchestra and the Artful Participation project: working on the études is itself a form of collective reflexive learning(in addition to the therapeutic and experimental learning developed in recent years). Reflexive learning is an integral part of orchestral practice. It will increase the flexibility of the organization and the anticipation of unknown and risky situations (such as those that occur in special projects, for example).
